Dancing lessons
Well...., that went...well.
So after strapping on my shoes (yes, they actually have special shoes for dancing) the first thing the instructor asked me to do was stand on my tiptoes with my back straight and bend my knees while tiptoeing and, WHOOPS...there I went, wobbling like mad. Haha! Looks like I have terrible balance T_T.

These are my shoes and they're special not because they're glittery and all but because they have some soft base apparently which are suitable for dance floors.
The one thing that I kept getting wrong was the POSTURE (shows that I slouch a lot). Waltz dancers have this crazy concept that the Lady must bend like she's attempting to break her back and tilt her chin up like she's looking down her nose (or down on you). Or, I could be the fact that I have lousy posture and I look down a lot so I felt like my back is breaking and my neck is aching from holding my chin up.
DO NOT READ THIS IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BORE YOURSELF TO DEATH!
Note: The pictures came from google and I do not claim it to be mine.
I started first with the box step.

Then I learned the left closed change

And following that, the natural turn

Okay, this looks a wee bit complicated so I'll explain. Essentially, this shows a left turn which is similar to natural turn but using the other foot (they call it reverse turn), so I'm actually doing a right turn (can't find the picture). So, it's my left foot back, body turns right slightly and you move your right foot the the side while doing a 3/8 turn to your body. You end it with bringing your left to your right and a full turn of the body. You continue (not shown in picture) with a right foot forward, body facing to the right, then your left foot to the side as you do a 1/4 turn of you body and you end with your right foot close to your left foot (confusing I know).
Next we have the whisk!

And then the chasse from Promenade Position

And then...something else which I don't know the name...
So that's my first waltz lesson, which went pretty well in a manner of speaking...
