To be or not to be? Engineering or Architecture?
Okay, the moment of truth…
Engineering vs Architecture
UK vs Australia
4 years vs 6 years
Haiz…I’m feeling confused and panicky right now, no kidding here.
You know, I thought I had this all figured out since well duh, architecture is like 6 years and I doubt I want to spend 20s ass stuck in college while my friends prance round in suits. Then again, architecture might sound promising since first off it’s from the one and only Melbourne University which I had been dying to get in since it’s like the top university in Australia and its damn near to the city. Secondly, it’s architecture, which is the love child of physics and art, two subs I’ll PROBABLY enjoy. So what if I suck in art, I have 6 frigging years to polish it up. AND, architects will prolly have a higher chance of getting a job compared to engineers. I just have to suck up to the fact that it’s SIX FREAKING YEARS!
Engineering…sounds ok-ok, especially since it’s purely science, something I’ve been doing since form 4. 4 years is a good average too since practically every course has an average of 4 years. UK? Even better…I get to go to all sorts of places, of course can’t tell mummy and daddy I plan to do that…:D…tee hee…UK is like one of the places I have to go…before I die that is…(plenty of time actually)…So it seems fitting that I pick engineering no? Nice to have my happy bubble burst cause I just found out that mechanical engineering (a course which I had been considering)…is, in short, a man’s world…haiz…not that I mind (seeming as my A lvls class was mostly guys) but – they’d be dealing in machinery, that I HAD thought I wouldn’t mind…I don’t think I do? Anyways, I don’t know bout all the other subjects like Chemical Eng or like E&E or Civil (HA! This is a bigger man’s world apparently)…looks like loads more research…whoopee doopee…Hmm…Nottingham would be the college of my choice if I do go for engineering but I hope I can get better…like Imperial no? haha…just joking…I’m not that amazing :P…ack…I need recommendations on good local universities that offer twinning…MORE research…whoopee…
Then again…I do have 6 mths to kill…ballroom dancing anyone?
P.S. This is my third post in 1 and a half days…Owh, my, GOD! I’m reaching the point of desperation here! I can’t imagine blogging so often in the span of 6 mths…
3 posts in 1 and a half days = 1 post in half a day
1 year has 365 days = ½ a year has 182.5 days
182.5 days = 365 posts!
Whoa….
